Mission
Olivewood Stables is a full service training barn offering lessons in hunters, equitation, and jumpers to a wide range of levels and ages.
At Olivewood, the focus is on giving riders a solid and confident foundation by taking the time to learn essential fundamentals of strong and effective riding, providing exercises that encourage team building, and giving each rider the tools they need to succeed. Individuals learn how best to communicate with their horses, understand them, and grow that relationship both in and out of the show ring. Each lesson and training program is catered to the needs of horse and rider both separately and as a partnership.
Approach
Everyone has their own journey, progressing at their own pace, and discovering who they are as a rider in their own time. Olivewood is an advocate of all of the above, tailored to the needs of the rider without forgetting that horses have their own journeys and discoveries as well. Melding these two concepts together makes for a strong and effective team that promotes confident rides and experiences.
Dream big
Goal setting is always encouraged to mark small stepping stones or larger milestones in which riders can achieve their dreams or measure their accomplishments, whether it’s learning to post the trot or going to their first show. Here at Olivewood, we support riders every step of the way.
